Black Wall Street Massacre 100 years

It`s unbelieveable. 100 years ago, the Tulsa race massacre took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921. Mobs of White residents, many of them deputized and given weapons by city officials, attacked Black residents and businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The massacre is also known as the Black Wall Street Massacre, and it marks one of «the single worst incidents of racial violence in American history».

The attack, carried out on the ground and from private aircraft, destroyed more than 35 square blocks of the district at that time the wealthiest Black community in the United States, known as «Black Wall Street».

It wasn`t easy in Oklahoma 100 years ago. Oklahoma had a racially, and politically tense atmosphere. Many servicemen had returned following the end of the First World War in 1918, and the American Civil War, which ended in 1865, was still in living memory.

Civil rights for African Americans were lacking, and the Ku Klux Klan was resurgent (primarily through the widly popular 1915 film; The Birth of a Nation).

Tulsa was also a booming oil city, supported a large number of affluent, educated and professsional African American people. Greenwood was a district in Tulsa, and Greenwood became so prosperous that it came to be known as «the Negro Wall Street», but now commonly referred to as «the Black Wall Street.

Most Black people lived together in the district. Black Americans had created their own businesses and services in this enclave, including several grocers, two newspapers, two movie theaters, nightclubs, and numerous churches.

Harlows Weekly reported in an article that the actions that took place was economically and politically, rather than racially, motivated.

The territory of northern Oklahoma had been established for the resettlement of Native Americans from the southeast, some of whom had owned slaves. Other areas had received many settlers from the South whose families had been slaveholders before the Civil War.

Oklahoma was admitted as a state on November 16, 1907. The newly created state legislature passed racial segregation laws, commonly known as Jim Crow laws, as its first order of business. The 1907 Oklahoma Constitution did not call for strict segregation, delegates feared that, should they include such restrictions, U.S President Theodore Roosevelt would veto the document.

Still, the first law passed by the new legislature sesgregated all rail travel, and voter registration rules effectively disenfranchised most Black Americans. That meant they were also barred from serving on juries or on local office. These laws were enforced until after passage of the fedral Voting Rights Act of 1965. Major cities passed additional restrictions.

Northeastern Oklahoma was in an economic slump that increased unemployment. Since 1915, the Ku Klux Klan had been growing in urban chapters across the country. Its first significant appearance in Oklahoma occurred on August 12, 1921.

By the end of 1921, 3,200 of Tulsa`s 72,000 residents were Klan members according to one estimte. In the early 20th century, lynching were common in Oklahoma as part of a continuing effort to assert and maintain white supramacy.

By 1921, at least 31 people, mostly men and boys, had been lynched in the newly formed state, 26 were Black.

The massacre in Tulsa began during the Memorial Day weekend after 19-year-old Dick Rowland, a Black shoeshiner, was accused of assulting Sarah Page, the 17-year-old White elevator operator of the nearby Drexel building.

(This case is very similar to George Floyd`s case, were he was accused for stealing cigarettes).

He was taken into custody. After the arrest, rumors spread through the city that Rowland was to be lynched. Upon hearing reports that a mob of hundreds of White men had gathered around the jail where Rowland was being kept, a group of 75 Black men, som of whom were armed, arrived at the jail in order to ensure that Rowland would not be lynched.

The sheriff persuaded the group to leave the jail, assuring them that he had the situation under control. A shot was fired, and then, according to the reports of the sheriff, «all hell broke loose.»

At the end of the firefight, 12 people were killed: 10 White and 2 Black. As news of these deaths spread throughout the city, mob violence exploded. White rioters rampaged through the Black neighborhood that night and morning killing men and burning and looting stores and homes.

Around noon on June 1, the Oklahoma National Guard imposed martial law, effectively ending the massacre.

About 10,000 Black people were left homeless, and proerty damage amounted to more than $1,5 million in real estate and $750,000 in personal property ($32,65 million in 2020). Many survivors left Tulsa, while Black and White residents who stayed in the city kept silent about the terror, violence, and resulting losses for decades. The massacre was largely omitted from local, state, and national histories.

In 1996, 75 years after the massacre, a bipartisan group in the state legislature authorized formation of the Oklahoma Commission to Study the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921. The commission`s final report, published in 2001, states that the city had conspired with the mob of White citizens against Black citizens, it recommended a program of reparations to survivors and their descendants.

The state passed legislation in order to establish scholarships for the descendants of survivors, encourage the economic development of Greenwood, and develop a park in memory of the victims of the massacre in Tulsa.

The park was dedicated in 2010. In 2020, the massacre became a part of the Oklahoma school curriculum.

On Monday, Biden signed a White House proclamation declaring a day of remembrance, which called upon Americans to remember those who were killed as well as those who survived, and to «commit toghether to eradicate systemic racism and help to rebuild communities and lives that have been destroyed by it.»

President Joe Biden will visit Greenwood on Tuesday, but the visit is not expected to be public. He will tour the Greenwood Cultural Center across the street from Vernon AME Church.

Covington student Nick Sandman was smeared by the Media Mob and sued CNN $275M for their Fake News

The Marxist Media Mob are struggling, and CNN is one of them. Once a respected channel, but now often called Communist News Network or Clown News Network. Covington student Nick Sandman sued CNN for $275M for their fake news.

The Media Mob told the world that Nick Sandman harassed a Native-American, but that was a big lie. They turned things upside down. You can clearly see how sick and twisted it is. Some people believe that people with a MAGA hat is racist like Trump, but that is far away from the truth.

“The Five” surpassed Rachel Maddow with 200,000 viewers

Nick Sandman had a MAGA hat and that is why the Media Mob smeared him. The Media Mob made it look like Nick Sandman was the agressor, but he wasn`t. What`s strange to me is that the Media Mob repetedly tells a story before they have the facts.

But CNN is not the only one. CNBC`s Rachel Maddow was sued last year for more than $10 million for calling a coservative television network called One America News “paid Russian propaganda.” Her ratings is also plummeting, and her show is surpassed by another Fox News show called “The Five.”

“The Five” averaged over 2,7 million viewers last week and that is 200,000 more than CNBC`s Maddow show. All the Late Night Shows are also plummeting. They are all mocking president Trump, but wievers are turning off the TV.

Jimmy Fallon remain the no.1 late-night show (1,99M viewers) followed by Jimmy Kimmel live (1,53M wiewers).

Main Stream Media`s trust is declining. But that has been going on for a very looooong time. Not only years, but decades. They often blame on social media, but this has been going on long before social media became mainstream.

The Media Mob deserve to be sued. And they deserve to lose viewers. Who is the winner of the Fake News Award 2019?

MAGA hat-wearing students who were “marching for life” was wrongly accused for being racists

On Friday last week, a video with young teenagers and Native Americans with a drum went viral on social media. An hour later you could see it on MSM (Mainstream Media). It exploded and it became a rush to judgment. A Native American singing along with a drum with teenagers wearing trump`s «Make America Great Again» MAGA caps.

People tweeted they wanted their names. They said it was a shame. Hollywood film maker Jack Morrissey tweeted he wanted the boys killed. MSM jumped on the wagon and attacked the boys, but as usual, they didn`t check the facts before they told the story. You can see how fast they can destroy persons. Just how they did it with Brett Cavanaugh. MSM should be sued for this.

The students on the video got death threats, was smeared as racists and Covington canceled the school for safety concerns earlier today. All this trouble because people have wrongly accused them for being racists, but that was wrong.

The fact is that this video was all about «A March For Life». Can you belive that? A March for life, and people called them racists. Not only that. The boys were from a Catholic school, so they were all christians.

The Destroy-Trump-Media are obviously desperate to bring down Trump and kick him out of the White House, but they should start to learn a lesson soon. So should people higher up in the hierarchy. This story is not about race. Nor is it about a war between left and right. It is about People in power that is protecting their own power. We can see exactly the same going on in France and Paris.

They are destroying and mocking people who are weaker than them. Powerful people know very well that they have failed in their own society but they can`t admit that because it will discredit them and make them look weak. Instead, they attack the same people they have failed.

The war in Bosnia and Herzegovina came about as a result of the breakup of the Communist Party Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia

Euro Zone is a Danger Zone. It has always been like that and seems like it won`t be any better. 1995 is not long time ago. It sounds like a movie when we hear the story about Bosnian town of Srebrenica were 8,000 muslim were murdered and buried in mass graves.

And worst of all; A military commander is behind the worst atrocity since World War II. The UN Hague tribunal sentenced former Bosnian Serb military commander Ratko Mladic to life in prison for genocide and other crimes. This is unbelievable.

The conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina resulted in a mass grave with about 100,000 people, and that is a huge crime against the humanity. The court also convicted Mladic (74) for violating the rules of war. The crimes wouldn`t be committed as they were, the court said.

“The crimes committed were among the most heinous known to human kind,” Judge Alphons Orie said at the International Criminal Tribunal on Wednesday.

Mladic is not alone. Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic is another one with war-crimes and the potential for reigniting disputes remains high.

This is all about the nations that emerged from Yugoslavia with ethnic lines by five wars. They tried to increase regional cooperation with the goal of following other ex-Communist nations into the European Union.

Bosnia-Herzegovina were annexed by pro-Hitler Croatian puppet state in 1941. Thousands of Serbs, Jews and Gypsies were sent to death camps.

From 1945 – 1991, Bosnia is part of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY).

SFRY was the Yugoslav state in southeastern Europe that existed from its foundation in the aftermath of World War II until its dissolution in 1992 amid the Yugoslav Wars.

It was a socialist state and a federation governed by the League of Communists of Yugoslavia made up of six socialist republics: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia with Belgrade as its capital. In addition; it included two autonomous provinces within Serbia: Kosovo and Vojvodina.

The SFRY tracks back to 26 November 1942 when the Anti-Fascist Council for the National Liberation of Yugoslavia was formed during World War II. On 29 November 1945, the Federal People`s Republic of Yugoslavia was proclaimed after the disposal of King Peter II thus ending the monarchy.

The new communist government originally sided with the Eastern bloc under the leadership of Josip Broz Tito at the beginning of the Cold War, but the SFRY pursued a policy of neutrality after the Tito-Stalin split of 1948, and it became one of the founding members of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Following the death of Tito on 4 May 1980, rising ethnic nationalism in the late 1980`s led do dissidence among the multiple ethnicities within the constituent republics. With the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, inter-republic talks on transformation of the federation also failed and led to recognition of their independency by some European states in 1991.

This led to the federation collapsing along federal borders, followed by the start of the Yugoslav Wars and the final downfall and breakup of the federation on 27 April 1992.

Two of its republics, Serbia and Montenegro, remained within the reconstituted Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, but the union was not recognized internationally as the official successor state to the SFRY.

Following a number of violent incidents in early 1992, the war is commonly viewed as having started on 6 April 1992. The same day that the United States and European Economic Community (EEC) recognised Bosnia and Herzegovina. (There is debate over the start of the Bosnian War).

The war in Bosnia and Herzegovina came about as a result of the breakup of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Following the collapse of Communism in 1991, nationalists win first multiparty elections and form coalition.

A crisis emerged in Yugoslavia as a result of the weakening of the confederation system at the end of the Cold War. In Yugoslavia, the national communist party, the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, was losing its ideological potency.

Meanwhile, ethnic nationalism experienced a renaissance in the 1980`s after violence broke out in Kosovo, while the goal of Serbian nationalists was the centralisation of Yugoslavia, other nationalities in Yugoslavia aspired to the federalization and the decentralisation of the state.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a former Ottoman province and has historically been a multi-ethnic state.

The war was part of the breakup of Yugoslavia, following the Slovenian and Croatian secessions from the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1991, the multi-ethnic Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This was rejected by the political representatives of the Bosnian Serbs, who had boycotted the referendum. Following Bosnia and Herzegovinas declaration of independence (which gained international recognition), the Bosnian Serbs, led by Radovan Karadzic and supported by the Serbian government of Slobodan Milosevic and the Yugoslav Peoples Arma (JNA), mobilised their forces inside Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to secure ethnic Serb territory, then war soon spread across the country, accompanied by ethnic cleansing.

Events such as the Siege of Sarajevo and the Srebrenica massacre later became iconic of the conflict.

2,2 million were displaced. 20,000 women were raped, and 100,000 killed during the war.

People with inside information said Serbia waged war in Bosnia. Serbian strongman was Slobodan Milosevic who died in 2006. Mladic was arrested 15 years after he went into hiding following the fall of Slobodan Milosevic.

Bosnia-Herzegovina is deeply divided nations with three truths about the same war. Bosnia is one of the poorest nations in Europe and three ethnic groups are making them a crippled state with a complicated power structure.

They are also divided by religion were Bosnia is home to 3,517 million people were 50% of them are muslims, 31% Serbs and 15% Croats.

Pakistan defied the UN`s ban on supply of arms and airlifted missiles to the Bosnians Muslims, while after the Srebrenica and Markale massacres, NATO intervened in 1995 with Operation Deliberate Force targeting the positions of the Army of the republica Srpska, which proved key in ending the war.

The war brought to an end after the signing of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Paris on 14 December 1995.

This is the most devastating conflict in Europe since the end of World War II.

Is it over now? Why do some people talk about a silent civil war in Europe right now?
