Very important week

Next week will be exiting. The earnings season is at the end and investors focus now will be on a flood of data coming in. It all starts on monday March 14 were the Bank of Japan will announce its policies.

Bank of Japan Gov. Haruhiko Kuroda is in a special situation. Just like ECBs Mario Draghi, he talked about his «bazooka» and said he wanted to do whatever it takes to get Japans economy back on track to a stable growth.

debt

The answer so far is negative interest rate, and they started charging commercial banks 0,1% interest on some reserves last month. That lowered the borrowing cost, but on the other hand, it made some confusion about the effects on Japan`s savers.

Haruhiko Kuroda has been called to parliament for questioning many times and more than any other central bank chief during the same period. Japanese 10-year Government Bonds traded at -0,20% for the first time in history and dropped farther into negative territory.

Negative rate is also seen in Sweden, Denmark and Switzerland. Sweden`s goal is to raise the inflation. The goal in Denmark and Switzerland is to prevent the currency to raise too much.

Negative rates can be the new normal because none of them turn this situation into a strong economic growth. So, What about America?

All eyes will be on Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen and the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). The FOMC meeting will kick off on Tuesday 15, and the Fed`s interest rate decision is the highlight on Wednesday 16, with the 2 p.m ET announcement followed by a 2,30 press conference with Fed Chair Janet Yellen.

According to Wall Street Journal`s Jon Hilsenrath who is the mouthpiece of the Fed, the central bank will hold off raising rates this month, but will leave the door open for a hike in April or June this year.

U.S Consumer prices went up 1,4% YoY in January of 2016, and the inflation rate accelerated for the fourth straight month which is very impressive. CPI for February 2016 is scheduled to be released on Wednesday 16.

The European Central Bank (ECB) followed BOJ, and increased QE by 20 billion euros per month on thursday. Not only that. They also lowered interest rates, which is an unexpectedly strong move. The ECB increased its monthly bond buying from 60 to 80 billion euros and drove commercial deposit rates from -0,30% to -0,40% and cut a main refinance rate from 0,05% to 0,00%.

As you may know, many people are very angry. Not only in Europe, but also in America. The middle class is wiped out and businessman Donald Trump knows that. He doesn`t like what he see and want to do something about it; Make America great again.

The battle for the White House continues, and next week`s Ohio and Florida primaries would give Donald Trump the knockout blow necessary to capture the GOP nomination. Anti-Trump groups are spending millions of dollar on TV ads to attack him. Is that enough to stop him? If not, it will be a short way left to the White House.

Very important week.

Facebook acquired Masquerade to compete with Snapchat`s “Lenses”

Facebook acquired one of the most popular apps in the App Store at the moment; Masquerade. Mark Zuckerberg probably learned a lesson when Facebook acquired WhatsApp, so Facebook will not reveal how much they paid for Masquerade.

According to App Annie, Masquerade has an average rating of 5 stars and remain at the top of App Store`s charts. Masquerade is only a couple of months old and has become a huge hit in a short period of time.

Their products deliver the level of performance, robustness and quality not seen in any other products available on the market. Real-time video communication is quickly growing in popularity, and Masquerade strives to make live video interaction even more attractive for both business customers and consumers by offering advanced software solutions capable of altering and/or enhancing person`s appearance in live video.

A proprietary self-learning face tracking algorithm as well as a framework for creating special effects, which have been in development since 2010, are Masquerade`s crown jewels. They have accumulated enormous expertise in solving the problem of face detection and tracking.

Facebooks aquisition will compete with Snapchats app called «lenses» wich was launched last year. Snapchat acquired Looksery and introduced animated overlays for selfies with great success.

The King of social media is also planning to make the new app MSQRD a standalone free app in addition to an integrated app on Facebook`s platform. The effects are joining other creative tools Facebook has added to its app already, like stickers, fingers doodles, and photo filters.

With the selfie-app MSQRD, you can do face-swaps and record silly video animations of yourself and share them across social video.

Drop your good old video selfies and make it more fun and interesting with MSQRD.

London has fallen

The only hope to stop a terrorist organization to destroy some of the worlds most powerful leaders and devastate the British capital rest on the shoulders of the President of the United States. What Im talking about is a new film called “London has fallen” which will be released on March 4, 2016.

The terrorists attacks the British capital after the British Prime Minister passes away. The hope of stopping the terrorists is up to the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) and the U.S Vice President (Morgan Freeman).

Watch the film trailer below and book your tickets online.

London Has Fallen is an American action thriller film directed by Babak Najafi and written by Creighton Rothenberger, Katrin Benedikt, Chad St. Jon, and Christian Gudegast. It is a sequel to Antoine Fuqua`s 2013 film Olympus Has Fallen and stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, and Margan Freeman.

In London, the British Prime Minister has died under mysterious circumstances and his funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the Western world. What starts out as the most protected event on Earth turns into a deadly plot to kill the world`s most powerful leaders and unleash a terrifying vision of the future.

Fortunately it’s only a movie.

Outsider Trump vs. Insider Clinton

Super Tuesday was a great day for both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Democrat Clinton and Republican Trump win most states on Super Tuesday, so it was a Super Duper Day for them both in the race for the presidential nomination.

They both each won at least seven of eleven state races. Clinton won in Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Massachusetts and the most important of them all: Texas. Trump won in Vermont, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Arkansas and Massachusetts.

DonaldTrump

Republicans need 1,237 delegates who will vote for them at the parties national conventions in July 2016. Now, they have 595 delegates.

Democrats have one-third of the 2,383 delegates they need, which is 865 delegates. So, as you can see there is still a long way to go.

We know from history that the Republican candidate who wins most of the states on Super Tuesday wins the nomination, and the billionaire businessman Donald Trump is on the way to become the Republican party`s candidate for the U.S presidential election.

Trump`s success is spectacular and a big surprice for many, and he seems to be unstoppable despite programs like Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Donald Trump (HBO). The odds for seeing Trump at the White House are rising every day, and Hillary Clinton with a history of many scandals must fight against an entertainer and a businessman who speak against well established politicians.

Hillary Clinton have been a part of the political system in many years. Her husband is former president Bill Clinton and they both know the “game”. Donald Trump is coming from another “camp,” and that`s the biggest difference between them I think.

Trump is a businessman, property mogul, celebrity TV personality and a political outsider. Clinton has been a part of the “system” in many years and are a political insider. So, if voters have to choose between Trump and Clinton, they are not choosing between a Democrat and a Republican.

It is the Insider against the Outsider.

Super Tuesday is the biggest day of the 2016 primary season

Who will be the next U.S President? It`s up to the American people to vote and Tuesday is the biggest day of the 2016 primary season with 13 states and one territory participating. The day is called ”Super Tuesday” because the largest number of states hold their nominating contests.

The U.S President is important not only for the Americans but for the rest of the world. With so much tension, the next U.S President is more important than ever.

Poll shows that Hillary Clinton leads in most states on the Democratic side, and she is up by double digits in Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Arkansas and Alabama. For Republicans, Donald Trump seems to be a leader in Vermont, Virginia, Oklahoma and Georgia.

Super Tuesday is important because it will be difficult for Sanders to beat Clinton if she wins a large delegate lead over him.  If not, the Democrats primary will continue. Candidates on both sides have spent a lot of time and resources in Texas, which is vital with 155 Republican delegates and 252 total Democratic delegates at stake.

Super Tuesday was important in 2008. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton each declared victory after a close and chaotic finish, and no other day than Super Tuesday gives a single candidate as much of a chance to declare a sense of certainty about his or her position.

Donald Trumps slogan is ”Make America great again”, while Hillary Clintons slogan is ”Hillary for America.”

The unemployment rate in the U.S dropped to 4,9% in January 2016, so why is Trump saying he want to make America great again? President Ronald Reagan promised to make America great again in the 80`s. At that time, the unemployment rate was 11% with a recession on top of that.

Mr Trump claims in a campaign video that the U.S ifrastructure has made the country a global laughingstock. He said: ”Our airports, bridges, and roadways is falling apart. It`s a terrible thing to see.”

Everyday Americans need a Champion, and I want to be that Champion, Hillary Clinton says in her campaign video. Right in line with her slogan ”Hillary for America.” It remains to see whats most important for the people. That`s whats really counts.

The next primaries after Super Tuesday is on Saturday, March 5. Democrats and Republicans vote in the Kansas caucuses and Louisiana primaries. Republicans will also vote in Kentucky and Maine, while Democrats will vote in Nebraska. On Sunday, Democrats go the polls in Maine.

By the way, Voter turnout in America is among the lowest in the developed world. Only 42% of Americans voted in the 2014 midterm elections, and that`s the lowest since 1978. The rise of the donor class and the influx of corporate cash have caused many voters to lose faith in politics.

Americans will elect the 45th President of the United States on November 8, 2016, and the winner of the 2016 presidential election will be sworn into office on January 20, 2017.

God Luck!
