The global economy is more globalized today than during the peak of the early 20th century but will the open global economic order endure?

Globalization is one of the main reasons why President Trump was elected. He is now a President in the U.S because he often talked about their existing trade agreements, threatened to slap taxes on U.S companies investing overseas, renegotiate or withdraw from NAFTA, abandon support for the TPP, label China a currency manipulator and establish tariffs to name a few things.

President Trump did a lot of important things on his first 100 days and there is more to come. Welcome to the new world. A new era started when Mr Trump was elected.

The U.S is the world`s largest economy measured in market dollars. It is also the third most populated. Therefore, a withdrawal from the global economy is measurable, but America is not as globally integrated as we might think.

The U.S is the third biggest exporter, yet exports account only 13% of GDP. Main exports are capital goods (39%) and industrial supplies (28%). Others include: consumer goods (12%); %).automotive vehicles, parts and engines (10,5%); foods, feeds and beverages (7%).

Main exports partners are: Canada (19%), Mexico (14%), China (7%), Japan (4%), Germany (3%) and the United Kingdom (3%).

Exports of goods and services rose to an all-time high of USD 200,2 billion in November 2017.

The United States is also the world`s second largest importer. Main imports are; capital goods (29%) and consumer goods (26%). Others include: Industrial supplies (24%); automotive vehicles, parts and engines (15%); foods, feeds and beverages (5%).

Main Import partners are: China (19%), Canada (14,5%), Mexico (12%), Japan (6%) and Germany (5%).

Imports of goods and services rose to an all-time high of USD 250,7 billion in November 2017.

The United States has been running consistent trade deficits since 1976 du to high imports of oil and consumer products. The biggest trade deficits were recorded with China.

The U.S recorded a current account deficit of -2,60% of the country`s GDP in 2016. It reached an all-time high of 0,20% when Former President Ronald Reagan was inaugurated in 1981, but it declined all the years under his presidency.

Other countries can retaliate against Trump`s protectionist policies and that can start a trade war. But so far, so good. With an all-time high in Exports and Imports, Mr Trump must be doing something right.

If other countries don`t like the U.S liberal economic order, they can repudiate global norms and institutions that underpin the globalized economy. There is no doubt that emerging markets have benefited most from the open global economy, and we can clearly see members of the TPP seek to patch together the deal without the U.S.

But what happened to the first wave of globalization? The historical origins of globalization are the subject of ongoing debate. Let`s take a look at the globalization in the modern era. There are three epochs characterised by greatly increased international integration.

Europe and North-America were strongly affected by internationalization from 1860 to 1914. The flow of goods accelerated and capital moved freely between countries. Financial integration was more pronounced that it is today. Even international migrants was greater than it is today.

60 million people left Europe to seek their fortunes in the New World.

Important drivers behind the first wave of globalization were both the new technology and the fact that many countries began to embrace liberal trade policy after years of protectionism.

During the period 1500 – 1800, world trade increased by about 1% per year. After 1820 it increased by 3,5% and during the nineteenth century as a whole, trade in Europe increased by 40%. Great Britain was the world`s leading economy and the basis for the European free trade system was 1860 free trade pact between Great Britain and France.

Many other European countries subsequently aligned themselves with this free trade system.

Great Britain had introduced the gold standard in 1816 and during the nineteenth century the English pound sterling was the generally accepted currency of international business and many other countries introduced the gold standard.

Great Britain was the economic leader, but that Empire ended after World War II. The second wave og globalization started at the end of World War II and the new economic leader was USA. The American Empire started.

In the first wave we saw innovation of telegraph, steam engine, electricity and internal combustion engine. In the second wave jet plane was introduced. So was television, communication, satellites and container traffic.

The third wave started around 1980. It was a digital revolution and it refers to the advancement of technology from analog electric and mechanical devices to the digital technology available today. Advancements during the Third wave include the personal computer, the internet, and information and communications technology (ICT).

Now, we are here: the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The fourth wave builds on the Digital Revolution, representing new ways in which technology becomes embedded within societies and even human body. It is marked by emerging technology breakthroughs in a number of fields, including robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, quantum computing, biotechnology, the Internet of Things, #D printing and autonomous vehicles.

The founder of WEF (World Economic Forum) Klaus Schwab is expected to see the heavy implementation of several emerging technologies with highly potential of disruptive effects.

Globalization collapsed after World War I, but resurgent after World War II. The breaking of globalization`s first wave a century ago is proof that the forces of global economic integration are neither irresistible nor irreversible.

Americas view on globalizations future has changed. For all I know, maybe Trump and his team are much less assured that the open global economic order will endure. The global economy is more globalized today than during the peak of the early 20th century.

Whether that implies globalization has reached unsustainable levels, or that no such levels exist, remains to be seen.

International trade has grown faster than total production. Ben Bernanke once said that he can do something with the monetary policy but he cannot do something with the productivity.

We are now living in a truly exciting phase of global economic development.

President Donald Trump will impose duties of as much as 30% on solar panels made abroad

Globalization is the word. All the world leaders in the Swiss ski resort of Davos are talking about it. And most of the worlds political and corporate elite defend globalization. But President Trump did something on Monday that some other leaders dont like.

He slapped 30% tariff on imported solar panels and washing machines, and that is his first step towards his campaign promise to get tough on China. Critics say that this step can slow down a fast-growing industry and destroy thousands of domestic manufacturing jobs.

President Emmanuel Macron will have speech in the Swiss ski resort of Davos on Wednesday. One of the most important things he will talk about is Globalization. On Friday, Mr Trump will also have a speech in Davos, and he will talk about his «America first» strategy.

Why in the world is Mr Trump doing this if it is bad for the solar industry and its jobs? Relax. This is not a new case and we have heard about this in many years. Former President Barrack Obama did the same in 2012.

In May, 2012, the Obama administration called for hefty tariffs on Chinese-made solar panels and cells. They were arguing China has been illegally «dumping» under-priced products on the U.S market.

In December 2014, The Commerce Department began closing a chapter in a protracted trade conflict with China over solar equipments, approving a collection of steep tariffs on importers from Taiwan and China.

They found that the companies were selling products below the cost of manufacture. On top of that they found that the Chinese companies were benefiting from unfair subsidies from their government.

The department announced anti-dumping duties of up to about 80% on imports made in China, and rates up to about 30% on imports of solar cells made in Taiwan. Some experts in the solar industry say this tariff will return to fair trade.

This is what all this is about: fair trade. This trade conflict has its roots in a flood of inexpensive Chinese solar products. This Chinese strategy pushed many American manufacturers out of business because of their reduced prices on solar panels.

Leaders are split over the case, and this long-simmering conflict has now ended with a 30% tax on Chinese solar panels. Mr Trump has promised to boost manufacturing jobs by cracking down on Chinese imports. It will create jobs and build or expand factories on U.S soil.

President Trump is doing this because he will defend American workers. He will defend American farmers and their ranchers. He will also defend all other businesses. He will «Make Amerian Great Again.»

Some people do not agree with Mr Trump. They said yesterday that Trump`s decision will kill American manufacturing jobs, not create them.

The Solar Energy Association has projected tens of thousands of job losses in the $28 billion industry.

France`s President Macron is a promoter of globalization and openness and he will give a speech in Davos on Wednesday

France`s President Emmanuel Macron is expected to give a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos tomorrow. He will speak to world leaders and business people and try to sell and promote a pro-European agenda and greater integration and reform while extolling the benefits of free trade.

The theme at Davos this time is «creating a shared future in a fractured world.» Macron is a promoter of globalization and openness, but he is also trying to protect people from the negative consequences of it.

Macrons popularity has bounced back in recent weeks despite what opinion polls show is an image of «president of the rich.» The speech on Wednesday will be Macrons first speech at Davos as President since his election last May.

Last year, Chinese President Xi Jinping were holding a speech about globalization. Now, Macron will be the face of Europe. A man who is pro-business representative for the EuroZone at a time of economic recovery and stability after years of crisis.

Macron defeated Le Pen and prevented a far-right government in France last year when he won the election, and I think he would be more than welcome among the business leaders in Davos this time.

He is a reformist who turned back the Le Pen populist wave and he has turned French politics upside down. Many leaders claim that Macron is the last hope for structural change.

His plans to reform Europe and the EuroZone is ambitious, and for Europe it is an important charm offensive.

Macron won the French election in May last year, and he has vowed to shake the French economy out of its torpor. He has, like President Trump, slashed wealth taxes and levies on capital gains. He has also pushed through reforms to the country`s famously rigid labour laws.

According to a survey from November 2017, a record 72 percent of US investors were optimistic about the French economy, which is a huge hike against 30 percent in 2016.

Mr Trump will try to sell his «America first» agenda while Macron will speak about his «Choose France». Google and Facebook are invited to Macron`s gathering. So are Alibaba, Siemens and Coca Cola to name a few.

Francois Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy have held similar gatherings of CEOs in Davos, but Macrons conferance goes far beyond those hosted by Hollande or Sarkozy. Sarkozy hosted 25 CEO`s in 2011, while the Socialist Hollande hosted 34 world business leaders in 2014.

Macron and his team has invited 100 CEO`s of the biggest world companies. He has so far been carving out an active role on the world stage and he will use his speech to «propose his international vision for the world of tomorrow.»

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will speak the same day and that is two days before Mr Trump. What Macron will talk about is growing inequality, the need for better environmental protection, and global governance in the face of nationalism and extremism.

The economic outlook has improved, but 9 in 10 of those surveyed at Davos, said they expect political or trade clashes between major powers to worsen. 80 percent saw an increased chance of war.

The economy has created nearly 2 million jobs since the President’s inauguration and 90% of media`s coverage is negative

Let`s face it; Fake news is a big problem. Not only for Mainstream Media and their journalists, but to the democracy and political pluralism. President Donald Trump know it is a big problem and he have done something with it.

He is not only Making America Great Again, but also the rest of the world. Mainstream Media is still full of lies and fake news, but many of them are much better today than only a year ago when Mr Trump was inaugurated.

2017 was a year of unrelenting bias, unfair news coverage, and even downright fake news. Studies have shown that over 90% of the media`s coverage of President Trump is negative. This is strange because 2017 have been one of the best years ever.

You are probably one of them who dont like or belive in President Trump. Thats probably because you follow mainstream Media. Why? Because they spent 90% of the time focusing on negative coverage or fake news.

But did you know that Mr Trump has been getting results? Take a closer look at the list below:

  1. The economy has created nearly 2 million jobs and gained over $8 trillion in wealth since the President`s inaguration.
  2. African-Americans and Hispanics are enjoying the lowest unemployment rate in recorded history.
  3. The President signed historic tax cuts and relief for hardworking Americans not seen since President Reagan.
  4. President Trump`s plan to cut regulations has exceeded “2 out of for every 1 in” in mandate, issuing 22 deregulatory actions for every one new regulatory action.
  5. The President has unleashed an American energy boom by ending Obama-era regulations, approving the Keystone pipeline, auctioning off millions of new acres for energy exploration, and opening up ANWR.
  6. ISIS is in retreat, having been crushed in Iraq and Syria.
  7. President Trump followed through on his promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel and instructed the State Department to relocate Embassy.
  8. With President Trump`s encouragement, more member nations are paying their fair share for the common defense in NATO alliance.
  9. Signed the Veterans Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act to allow senior officials in the VA to fire failing employees and establishes safeguards to protect whistleblowers.
  10. President Trump kept his promise and appointed Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch to the U.S Supreme Court.

President Trump continues the war on Mainstream Media. He has a collection of Fake News, and started a Fake News Award, and below are the winners of the 2017 Fake News Awards.

  1. The New York Times` Paul Krugman claimed on the day of President Trump`s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover. Dow hits record high.
  2. ABC News` Bryan Ross CHOKES and sends markets in a downward spiral with false report.
  3. CNN FALSELY reported that candidate Donald Trump and his son Donald J. Trump, Jr. had access to hacked documents from WikiLeaks.
  4. TIME FALSELY reported that President Trump removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office.
  5. Washington Post FALSELY reported the President`s massive sold-out rally in Pensacola, Florida was empty. Dishonest reporter showed picture of empty arena HOURS before crowd started pouring in.
  6. CNN FALSELY edited a video to make it appear President Trump defiantly overfed fish during a visit with the Japanese prime minister. Japanese prime minister actually led the way with the feeding.
  7. CNN FALSELY reported about Anthony Scaramucci`s meeting with a Russian, but retracted it due to a “significant breakdown in process.”
  8. Newsweek FALSELY reported that Polish First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda did not shake President Trump`s hand. A big lie. She did, and there is a picture from that moment.
  9. CNN FALSELY reported that former FBI Director James Comey would dispute President Trump`s claim that he was told he is not under investigation.
  10. The New York Times FALSELY claimed on the front page that the Trump administration had hidden a climate report.
  11. And last, but not least; “RUSSIA COLLUSION!” Russian collusion is perhaps the greatest hoax perpetrated on the American people.

    THERE IS NO COLLUSION!

Political Correctness are intended to avoid offence or disadvantage to members of particular groups in society

Political correctness is used to describe language, policies, or measures that are intended to avoid offence or disadvantage to members of particular groups in society. Since the late 1980`s, the term has come to refer to avoiding language or behavior that can be seen as excluding, marginalizing, or insulting groups of people considered disadvantaged or discriminated against, especially groups defined by sex or race. In public discourse and the media, it is generally used as a pejorative, implying that these policies are excessive.

The phrase was widely used in the debate about Allan Blooms 1987 book «The closing of the American Mind», and gained further currency in response to Roger Kimballs «Tenured Radicals (1990), and conservative author Dinesh DSouzas 1991 book Illiberal Education, in which he condemned what he saw as liberal efforts to advance self-victimization and multiculturalism through language, affirmative action, and changes to the content of school and university curricula.

Commentators on the left contend that conservatives use the concept of political correctness to downplay and divert attention from substantively discriminatory behavior against disadvantaged groups.

They also argue that the right enforces its own forms of political correctness to suppress criticism of its favored constituencies and ideologies. The term has played a major role in the United States culture war between liberals and conservatives.

In 1793, the term «political correct» appeared in the U.S Supreme Court judgement of a political lawsuit. The term also had use in other English-speaking countries in the 1800`s. The term probably interned use in the United Kingdom around 1975.

In the early to mid 20th century, the phrase «political correct» was used to describe strict adherence to a range of ideological orthodoxies. In 1934, the New York Times reported that Nazi Germany was granting reporting permits «only to pure Aryans whose opinions are politically correct.»

As marxist-Leninist movements gained political power, the phrase came to be associated with accusations of dogmatic application of doctrine, in debates between American Communists and American Socialists.

This usage referred to the Communist party line which, in the eyes of the Socialists, provided «correct» positions on all political matters.

According to American educator Herbert Kohl, writing about debates in New York in the late 1940s and early 1950s,

«The term «political correct» was used disparagingly, to refer to someone whose loyalty to the CP line overrode compassion, and led to bad politics. It was used by Socialists against Communists, and was meant to separate out Socialists who believed in egalitarian moral ideas from dogmatic Communists who would advocate and defend party positions regardless of their moral substance.»
