Electronic scooters and Smart bikes are taking off and the world will be cleaner and healthier

Lime is now teaming up with Uber to make the world smarter. The electronic scooter rental company Lime will be founded by Uber Technologies Inc as part of a $335 million financing round, Lime said on Monday.

The idea is led by Alphabet Inc`s vemtire arm GV, and they values the scooter business at $1,1 billion. Uber plans to promote Lime in its mobile application and slap its logo on the scooters.

This is an idea I came up with about twenty years ago, and a few months later it was a hit. At that time it was without a vehicle. Electric scooters have been on the market for a long time, but now it seems to be a hit worldwide.

Lime was focused on the idea that mobility can be smart, equitable, and fun. By connecting cities and improving the way people experience first and last mile transportation, we aim to leave future generations with cleaner, healthier planet, Lime said.

From smart bikes to electronic scooters and beyond, Lime said they are committed to building strong social bonds, lasting community relationships, and the worlds most versatile smart mobility fleet.

I also came up with the idea of making City Bikes about twenty years ago. It`s funny because nobody had City Bikes at that time. I gave the idea to a friend of mine, and he worked on it. Now, it is everywhere. Even more fun is that Uber has started with the same idea. Twenty years later.

Uber took a huge stake with a startup called Jump Bikes, which rents electric bicycles, before acquiring the business for more than $100 million in April this year. Uber are planning to roll out more City Bikes in many cities around the world.

Lime is only 18 months old but released its e-scooters in Paris last month. The «free-floating» electric scooters are out on the streets and they are controlled with a mobile app. So far, they have been very popular in Washington DC and San Francisco. Now, they take Europe by storm.

The scooters are lightweight, easy to spot to their bright green motors and nippy, with a maximum speed of 15 miles (24 km/h). You locate the nearest one with the app and turn it on by scanning the QR code on the handlebars.

At this point you are charged €1 in Europe and $1 in the U.S. Then you will be charged 15 cents for every minute of ride time. Now, as the weather is fine, it can be cheaper to rent a scooter than taking the crowded bus to the town.

Paris has a chaotic time for its transport network, so Lime is coming in at the right time. It wont be less chaotic when Tour de France is coming to an end in about three weeks. Serving cities is at the core of Limes mission.

From electric scooters to smart bikes, Limes dock free mobility solution reduce traffic congestion, promote healthy living, and solve the all-important challenge of the first and last mile. And thats just the beginning.

Trump`s Trade War against China started with tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese goods

President Donald Trump`s trade war against China has started, and after midnight Eastern Time, Mr Trump raised tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese goods. In two weeks, the number will increase to $50 billion.

This is not only a zero sum game. In the long run it will turn into negative territory. So far, the numbers are low. When it hit about $200 billion I think it will be heavy. China`s Commerce Ministry said the Chinese side promised to make the necessary counterattack.

American conservatism defend Western culture from the perceived threats posed by socialism and authoritarianism

The unemployment rate for the black people in America is at a historic low, and this is happening under President Donald Trump. The big loser in this game seems to be the Democratic Party. According to Candace Owens, the Democratic party will see a major exit by black voters leading up to the 2020 presidential election.

Candace Owens is an American conservative commentator and activist. She is known for her pro-Trump commentary, and criticism of Black Lives Matter and the Democratic Party. Conservative in the U.S is not the same as we know it in Europe and Asia. So, what is it?

First of all; the man who is best known for being conservative in the Republican Party is Ronald Reagan. He spoke from the Oval Office, outlining his plan for tax reduction in July 1981. Now, Mr Trump is doing exactly the same.

But the word conservative is often used very different from the way it is used in Europe and Asia. Following the American Revolution, Americans rejected the core ideals of European conservatism; those ideas were based on the landed aristocracy, established churches, and powerful armies.

American conservatism is a broad system of political beliefs in the United States that is characterized by respect for American traditions, republicanism, support for Judeo-Christian values, moral absolutism, and a defence of Western culture from the perceived threats posed by socialism, authoritarianism, and moral relativism.

Liberty, economic freedom, social conservatism, and promotion of Judeo-Christian ideals are core beliefs, with a particular emphasis on strengthening the free market, limiting the size and scope of government in the economy, and opposition to high taxes and government or labor union encroachment on the entrepreneur.

American conservatives consider individual liberty, within the bounds of conformity to American values, as the fundamental trait of democracy, which contrasts with modern American liberals, who generally place a greater value on equality and social justice.

American conservatism originates from republicanism, which rejected aristocratic and monarchical government based on the principles of the Declaration of Independence of 1776, which stated that

“All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

In 1789, the Constitution of United States established a Federal Republic under the rule of law. All major American political parties are based on these two documents. Conservative activists to this day occasionally dress in costumes from the Revolutionary era and celebrate revolutionary episodes such as the Boston Tea Party.

Conservative philosophy also has continuity to the classical liberal tradition of the 18th and 19th centuries, which advocated for laissez-faire economics, also called economic freedom and deregulation.

The conservative movement of the 1950`s attempted to bring together these divergent strands, stressing the need for unity to prevent the spread of “godless communism.”

Through much of the 20th century, a primary force uniting the varied strands of conservatism, and uniting conservatives with liberals and socialists, was opposition to communism, which was seen not only as an enemy of the traditional order, but also the enemy of Western freedom and democracy.

Thus it was the British Labour government, which embraced socialism, that pushed the Truman administration in 1945-1947 to take a strong stand against Soviet Communism.

In the 21th century United States has different types of conservatism, which is first of all; Christian conservatism. They are primarily interested in family values. Fiscal conservatism focuses on low taxes and restrained government spending.

Neoconservative is a modern form of conservatism that supports a more assertive, interventionist foreign policy, aimed at promoting democracy abroad. It is tolerant of an activist government at home, but is focused mostly on international affairs.

The 1980`s and beyond became known as the «Reagan Era.» Typically, conservative politics and spokesmen in the 21st century proclaim their devotion to Reagan`s ideals and policies on most social, economic and foreign policy issues.

Now, we are living in a “Trump Era.” Some say it is Populism, but I will rather call it “Trumpism.”

Tomi also said the mid-term election will be easy for the Republicans because she think that the American people are smart.

Socialists across the rich world aligned themselves with a range of liberation movements

Socialist parties became a dominant political force after the world wars in much of Western Europe. Along with communism, socialism also came in various forms in the newly recolonized countries of Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Socialists across the rich world aligned themselves with a range of liberation movements. In the U.S, many, though by no means all, feminist and civil rights leaders have espoused aspects of socialism. On the other hand, socialism has acted as an incubator for movements that are generally labeled far-right.

 

 

European fascists in the 1920s and 1930s adopted socialist ideas, though they phrased them in nationalist terms: economic redistribution to the workers specifically meant Italian or German workers and then only a certain, narrow type of Italian or German.

In today`s political contests, echoes of socialism – or economic populism, to critics, are easily discernible on the both the right and left.

Communism and socialism are economic and political structures that promote equality and seek to eliminate social classes. The two are interchangeable in some ways, but different in others.

In a communist society, there are no wealthy or poor people. All are equal.

Like communism, socialisms main focus is on equality. Workers receive what they need to produce and survive, but theres no incentive to achieve more, leaving little motivation.

The United Kingdom provides basic needs like healthcare to everyone regardless of their time or effort at work. In the U.S, welfare and the public education system are a form of socialism.

Both are the opposite of capitalism, where limitations don`t exist and reward comes to those who go beyond the minimum. In capitalist societies, owners are allowed to keep the excess production they earn.

Competition occurs naturally, which fosters advancement. Capitalism tends to create a sharp divide between the wealthiest citizens and the poorest, however, with the wealthiest owning the majority of the nation`s resources.
