Norway`s trade surplus plunged NOK 24 billion in August

Norway`s trade surplus plunged NOK 23,8 billion in August this year. All the way down from NOK 30,5 billion to NOK 6,7 billion in the same month the prior year. This is happening in a country that is famous for being «the last Soviet state.» A country were the Communist party is growing in popularity like never before.

But is doesn`t matter, because most of the income is coming from oil and gas. In addition; they have $1 trillion in assets called The Government Pension Fund Global, also known as the Oil Fund. The fund was established in 1990 to invest the surplus revenues of the Norwegian petroleum sector.

The fund have stocks in 9158 different companies in 73 different countries. Most of the capital is invested in stocks and some of it in fixed income securities. A small part of the investments is invested in the real estate market.

The goal is to contribute to the walfare state.

Therefore, the fund and the country is dependend on sustainable growth, markets that works well and inovation.

Oil prices jumped more than 20 percent on Monday and that`s good news for Norway. The higher the price of oil, the more they earn. 62 percent of Norway`s export comes from Mineral fuels, oils and distillation products.

We all know that these category is on the way out. So, the “new oil” is fish that stands for 9,5 percent of the exports. In other words; this model is fragile.

The biggest trading partner is the United Kingdom with 22 percent export. Second is Germany with 16 percent. Third; Netherlands at 11 percent, France and Sweden with 6,7 percent. Down on the export list we will fine the U.S at 4,7 percent and China with 2,1 percent.

Two of the biggest trading partners are in trouble. United Kingdom with Brexit and Germany near recession. In addition; we have the trade tension between the U.S and China. As you can see; a higher oil price came at the right point for the fund as 62 percent of the exports comes from oil.

Brent climbed as much as 20 percent on Monday and that is the biggest percentage move since 1990 Kuwait invasion. It jumped up to $71 per barrel in the seconds after the open, before pulling back about half of the initial surge. That was equivalent to $12 increase, and that is the largest gain in dollar terms since 1988. All this is good news for Norway that is dependend on oil.

But the Nobel Peace Prize Country need to wake up, because this won`t last forever. Higher oil prices is good but that is not enough. The Petro dollar can also be a game changer in addition to all the electric vehicles that is flooding the market. Every single EV sold will decrease the demand for oil every single day.

Nor is fish enough. Oil is good especially if you are in a cartel business. You don`t have much competition either because oil is very limited in other countries. 70 percent on this planet is water and there are lots of fish in it. Other countries can start to compete in the fish industry whenever they want. Fish is not as unique as oil. Competitors can pop up and take market shares and push the prices down. Like Russia.

Russian aquaculture is planning a new RUB 1,5 billion smolt plant and that will reduce the dependence of Norwegian fry imports. Russian Aquaculture produces around 18,000 tonnes of salmon and trout on the Kola peninsula, the for northwest of Russia. Among the owners of the company are Maksim Vorobyov, the brother of the governor of Moscow.

Russia will triple the production in 11 years. The deputy head of Russia`s Fedral Agency for Fisheries Vasily Solokov has told Tass that the Russian government is drawing up plans to make salmon production account for 37 percent of all aquaculture by 2030.

Some Russian producers are hoping to increase production to cover one third of the country`s entire salmon and trout consumption. A peninsula in northern Russia which is close to key military bases and nuclear submarines is being used to grow the country`s salmon farming regime.

Communism vs Capitalism

Tons of Democrats wants to beat president Donald Trump and be the next president of the United States. The Democrats had the first debate and president Trump calls the first Democratic presidential primary debate «Boring.» And he is not alone.

Ocasio-Cotez says debate reminded her of high school class where some students didnt do their homevork. The Democrats are in real trouble when AOC mocks them all saying «not doing your homework.» Maybe the Russians have hacked NBCs audio feed during the debate, but they acted all like a Comedy Central.

Trump said in an interview thirty years ago that he was tierd of seeing the country being ripped off. It seems like someone have tried to destroy the U.S, but Trump is making it great again. The debate is about two things; Socialism/Communism and Capitalism.

If you ask some capitalists, they will say the debate was scary where the candidates on the stage lurch further towards socialism. A total reworking of the U.S democracy. They were demonizing capitalism. They were demonizing job creators. People on the left side is now too extreme for many.

There is no doubt that capitalism is working. Just look at Cuba or Venezuela. Two extreme socialist/communist countries with one big problem; there is no growth. The debate made Trump a winner because the growth have never been better in the U.S. In other words; Trump`s economy is his strongest card right now.

There are people from Cuba and Venezuela living in the U.S right now and they are very frightened because they know how it is to live in a socialist/communist country. They can see similarities; they promise free stuff for everybody, but they all know that in the end it will be a government takeover, and then it becomes oppression. In other words;

DON`T FEED THE BEAST!

I have written about communist-China for years and what we see in Hong Kong is the same. They demonstrate against the one rule communist party in Beijing. They still want a «one country, two systems» model. They want to be independent and govern themselves.

Former prime minister Margaret Thatcher said in the 80`s in a meeting with communist leader Deng Xiaoping that Hong Kong must be able to retain its way of life, legal system, their economic system, freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom of association. Freedom of religious worship.

These are fundamental freedoms, Thatcher said.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiaobo wanted democracy and freedom but the communist-party in China put him in jail for that. The one-rule communist-party doesn`t care about human rights. Nor do the Godless communists care about christians. Or muslims.

The totalitarian and authoritarian one-rule communist party in Beijing hav built a network of internment camps in Xinjiang where hundreds of thousands of ethnic Uighurs are beleved to have been detained.

Uighur journaist and activist Gulchehra Hoja have warned about the consentration camps in Xinjiang which is similar to Holocoust and crazy things that happened thousands of years ago. It`s all about communist propaganda.

In the camps, they get up at 5 am. They do a lot of learning. They start the day by singing songs for two hours a day. Sometimes three or four hours. The text goes like this: «Without the Communist party, there will be no new China.»

the prisoners watch movies that praise Xi Jinping and also the Communist Party. They would also tell them about religion, saying: «There is no such a thing as religion. Why do you beliee in religion? There is no God. Do you have a Coran at home?»

You will lose your freedom if you feed the beast too much. The government will blow up and be an arrogant intellectual idiot. 30 years ago, the one-rule communist party in China killed its own citizens who wanted democracy and freedom. Communists do not care about the rule of law. There is only one side; their side.

China is a totalitarian and authoritarian police state. They control the people by fear and silencing them all. If you say something about the president, they will put you in jail. If you say something about democracy, they will put you in jail. You have no freedom of speech.

So can be said about Turkey and Erdogan. A Nationalist state which is totalitarian and authoritarian. Erdogan controls the police, military and media. Plenty of journalists in Turekey are put in prison. The economy is a disaster and people in Turkey want a change.

The government is your servant, not your master!

You have lost your freedom if your government treat you like a doormat. This is the point were the government have become a beast. Your enemy. A system against you which is totally wrong and insane because you are paying their wages; tax money.

Some countries in the West have China as a role model and you are hereby warned. The battle is between communists and capitalists. So who are the Americans gonna vote for? So far, I think president Trump is the big winner and the radical socialists are in trouble.

4th of July is approaching and it`s a rally for FREEDOM!

Trump supporter Tomi Lahren said socialist Ocasio-Cortez lacks logic and common sense

Tomi Lahren were attacked in public for being a conservative Trump supporter and she is not the only one to be attacked. Sarah Sanders from the White House was also attacked at a restaurant last year. Kirstjen Nielsen who said thanks to Mr Trump for the opportunity to serve the U.S on Monday has also been attacked. She was forced out of a restaurant.

You can clearly see how the mob is working, but Tomi belive it will be worse as we head into 2020. The more Democrats loose on policy issues, the more they will attack republicans. Just look at the fake news journalists and some politicians and listen to what they have to say about Trump. How sick he is. How dangerous he is. This is how you see how dangerous they are, Tomi added.

Attorney Barr and Mueller concluded that there was no collusion with Russia, but Maxine Waters still want to impeach Donald Trump. Why not wait about ten years after his death? He won`t be there to defend himself.

What kind of society are you living in?

Are you living in an authoritarian and totalitarian society like communist China? Or are you living in a dictatorship like North Korea? Or maybe you are living in a free society? Just look at your own society and you will find out what society you live in.

A.E. Samaan is the author of the book From a “Race of Masters” to a “Master Race,” and he said that tyrants are obvious, and easy to identify. It is the well entrenched and corrupt establishment that is truly insidious.”

“All Socialism is Democratic Socialism. Socialist nations take away civil liberties by referendum. Socialism is submission of the masochistic masses to the will of the sadistic elites.”

“Capitalism is not a form of government. Capitalism is a symptom of freedom. It is the result of individual rights, which include property rights.”

Pinterest is ready to go public but the “catalogue of ideas” is still blocked in China

I wrote about an upcoming Pinterest IPO on January 12, 2015. I said it was probably to early for them to go public at that time, but now four years later Pinterest has confidentially filed paperwork with the SEC for an IPO.

The photo-posting app firm Pinterest has chosen Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase to lead its IPO, and shares will be available later on this summer. They have begun interviewing bankers and could raise $1,5B.

(Picture: Chinese Wall)

The company was launched in March 2010, so this is a young start-up that will follow many other start ups to go public this year. They have 250 million MAUs as of October 2018, and they have 800+ employees that is working with «catalogue of ideas.»

In 2012, Pinterest was valued at $1,5 billion. Two years later the company was valued at $3,8 billion. A few year later (June 2015) Pinterest was valued at $11 billion. The same year, Fortune Magazine listed Pinterest in the 8th position on its Unicorn list.

Since its inception, it has developed into a well-funded site financially supported by a group of successful entrepreneurs, and in 2011, the company secured a US$10 million Series A financing led by Jeremy Levine and Sarah Tavel of Bessemer Venture Partners.

Later on the same year, Pinterest secured US$27 million in funding from Anderssen Horowitz, which valued the company at US$200 million. Now, a few years later, the value of the company is 60 times higher.

Internet service provider in populist India had blocked Pinterest following a Madreas High Court order in July 2016 but the block was temporary. It`s even worse in Communist China. In 2017, Chinese authorities blocks Pinterest and the website is still blocked after Two Sessions in 2017.

No response has given, but some media guess that the blocks was related to the Two sessions. Huaban, Duitang and 30 more websites has many similaarities to Pinterest, so they are not alone on the market. However, they are not blocked in Hong Kong.

The same happened to Google in China. Once a popular search engine in China with a market share of 36,2 percent in 2009, but they blocked the web site and Google`s search market share dropped to only 1,7 percent.

Communist China is authoritarian and authorities was scared and stopped Google and this is what protectionism and Nationalism works. Most services offered by Google China were blocked by the Great Firewall in the People`s Republic of China.

In 2010, searching via all Google search sites, including Google Mobile, were moved from mainland China to Hong Kong. The same year, Google announced that, in response to a Chinese-originated hacking attack on them and other US tech companies, they were no longer willing to censor searches in China and would pull out of the country completely if necessary. Is this really fair trade?

Four year earlier, co-founder Sergey Brin said that virtually all of Googles customers were using the non-censored version of their website. Google critics in the United States claimed that Google China is a flagrant violation of the Google motto: «Dont be evil.»

On 13 January 2010, the news agency AHN reported that the U.S Congress planned to investigate Googles allegations that the Chinese government used the companys service to spy on human rights activists.

The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said at that time that analogies were drawn between the Berlin Wall and the free and unfree internet. Chinese articles came back saying that the United States uses the internet as a means to create worldwide hegemony based on Western values.

The issue of Google`s policy toward China was cited as a potentially major development in world affairs, marking a split between authoritarian socialism and the Western model of free capitalism and internet access.

China and America are two of the biggest economies in the world, so it is important for companies to have access to the market in both countries. A year ago, president Trump announced trade war with China, but now seems like a seven-month trade war is coming to an end.

The U.S has accused Beijing of forcing U.S companies doing business in China to share their technology with local partners and hand over intellectual property secrets, but China denies it engages in such practices.

Trump administration is looking at non-tariff barriers in China, including industrial subsidies, regulations, business licensing procedures, product standards reviews and other practices that keep U.S goods out of China or give an unfair advantage to domestic firms.

Visa and MasterCard have waited years to have access in China and Steve Mnuchin has pushed for China to open its market for them. But the clock is ticking and time is running short of the March 1 deadline to resolve the dispute or see U.S tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods rise from 10 percent to 25 percent.

Access to the Chinese market will help companies like Pinterest and other companies a lot. 50 percent of the world’s population live in Asia but it wont help if they spend most of their time on protectionism, nationalism, authoritarian behaviour, censorship, socialism and communism.
