Putin honored all soldiers of the allied armies and all those who defeated Nazism and militarism in his annual Victory Day speech

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a speech on Monday. He marked Victory Day, celebrating the Soviet Union`s World War II triumph over Nazi Germany. President Vladimir Putin linked the war in Ukraine with that historic struggle in a speech that blamed the West for the conflict.

If you follow MSM in the West, which is a bunch of group thinkers, you will hear that Putin is to blame for the conflict. According to Politico, the Pope says NATO may have caused Russia`s invasion of Ukraine. This is what all the experts say too, so who do you trust? The Pope or MSM?

Putin talked about all the people who were tortured and killed in the Maidan revolution in 2014. they have killed about 14,000 since 2014, and this is one of the reasons Putin started the war. It is a military operation where Putin and Russia want to protect civilians in Ukraine.

Many of the soldiers who fought in Donbas was seen in the parade on Red Square. Putin talked about Russia`s enemies who tried to use international terrorist gangs against them. How they tried to see inter-ethnic and religious strife so as to weaken Russia from within and divide them. They failed completely, Putin said.

«You are defending today what your fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers fought for. The well-being and security of their Motherland were their top priority in life. Loyalty to our Fatherland is the main value and a reliable foundation of Russia`s independence for us, their successors, too,» Putin added in the speech.

«We bow our heads to the memory of the Odesa martyrs who were burned alive in the House of Trade Unions in May 2014, to the memory of the old people, women, and children of Donbas who were killed in atrocious and barbaric shelling by neo-Nazis,» Putin said in the speech.

«Last December we proposed signing a treaty on security guarantees. Russia urged the West to hold an honest dialogue in the search for meaningful and compromising solutions and to take account of each other`s interests. All in vain. NATO countries did not want to heed us, which means they had totally different plans. And we saw it.

«Another punitive operation in Donbas, an invasion of our historic lands, including Crimea, was openly in the making. Kyiv declared that it could attain nuclear weapons. The NATO bloc launched an active military build-up on the territories adjacent to us,» Putin said.

«Thus, an absolutely unacceptable threat to us was steadily being created right on our borders. There was every indication that a clash with neo-Nazis and Banderites backed by the United States and their minions were unavoidable.

Let me repeat, we saw the military infrastructure being built up, hundreds of foreign advisors starting work, and regular supplies of cutting-edge weaponry being delivered from NATO countries. The threat grew every day.

Russia launched a pre-emptive strike at the aggression. It was a forced, timely, and the only correct decision. A decision by a sovereign, strong and independent country,» Putin said.

«Meanwhile, the West seems to be set to cancel these millennia-old values. Such moral degradation underlines the cynical falsifications of World War II history, escalating Russophobia, praising traitors, mocking their victims’ memory, and crossing out the courage of those who won the Victory through suffering.

We honor all soldiers of the allied armies – the Americans, the English, the French, Resistance fighters, brave soldiers and partisans in China – all those who defeated Nazism and militarism.» Putin added.

Below is the full transcript of Russia`s President Vladimir Putin`s Victory Day speech;

Dear veterans, Comrade soldiers and seamen, sergeants and sergeant majors, midshipmen and warrant officers, Comrade officers, generals, and admirals,

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Fellow Russian citizens,

I congratulate you on the Day of Great Victory!

The defense of our Motherland when its destiny was at stake has always been sacred. It was the feeling of true patriotism that Minin and Pozharsky’s militia stood up for the Fatherland, soldiers went on the offensive at the Borodino Field and fought the enemy outside Moscow and Leningrad, Kyiv, and Minsk, Stalingrad and Kursk, Sevastopol and Kharkiv.

Today, as in the past, you are fighting for our people in Donbas, for the security of our Motherland, and for Russia.

May 9, 1945, has been enshrined in world history forever as a triumph of the united Soviet people, its cohesion and spiritual power, an unparalleled feat on the front lines and on the home front.

Victory Day is intimately dear to all of us. There is no family in Russia that was not burnt by the Great Patriotic War. Its memory never fades. On this day, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the heroes march in an endless flow of the Immortal Regiment. They carry photos of their family members, the fallen soldiers who remained young forever, and the veterans who are already gone.

We take pride in the unconquered courageous generation of the victors, we are proud of being their successors, and it is our duty to preserve the memory of those who defeated Nazism and entrusted us with being vigilant and doing everything to thwart the horror of another global war.

Therefore, despite all controversies in international relations, Russia has always advocated the establishment of an equal and indivisible security system which is critically needed for the entire international community.

Last December we proposed signing a treaty on security guarantees. Russia urged the West to hold an honest dialogue in the search for meaningful and compromising solutions and to take account of each other’s interests. All in vain. NATO countries did not want to heed us, which means they had totally different plans. And we saw it.

Another punitive operation in Donbas, an invasion of our historic lands, including Crimea, was openly in the making. Kyiv declared that it could attain nuclear weapons. The NATO bloc launched an active military build-up on the territories adjacent to us.

Thus, an absolutely unacceptable threat to us was steadily being created right on our borders.

A decision by a sovereign, strong and independent country.

The United States began claiming their exceptionalism, particularly after the collapse of the Soviet Union, thus denigrating not just the entire world but also their satellites, who have to pretend not to see anything and to obediently put up with it.

But we are a different country. Russia has a different character. We will never give up our love for our Motherland, our faith and traditional values, our ancestors’ customs, and respect for all peoples and cultures.

Meanwhile, the West seems to be set to cancel these millennia-old values. Such moral degradation underlies the cynical falsifications of World War II history, escalating Russophobia, praising traitors, mocking their victims’ memory, and crossing out the courage of those who won the Victory through suffering.

We are aware that US veterans who wanted to come to the parade in Moscow were actually forbidden to do so. But I want them to know: We are proud of your deeds and your contribution to our common Victory.

We honor all soldiers of the allied armies – the Americans, the English, the French, Resistance fighters, brave soldiers, and partisans in China – all those who defeated Nazism and militarism.

Comrades,

Donbas militia alongside the Russian Army is fighting on their land today, where princes Svyatoslav and Vladimir Monomakh’s retainers, soldiers under the command of Rumyantsev and Potemkin, Suvorov and Brusilov crushed their enemies, where Great Patriotic War heroes Nikolai Vatutin, Sidor Kovpak, and Lyudmila Pavlichenko stood to the end.

I am addressing our Armed Forces and Donbas militia. You are fighting for our Motherland, its future, so that nobody forgets the lessons of World War II and so that there is no place in the world for torturers, death squads, and Nazis.

Today, we bow our heads to the sacred memory of all those who lost their lives in the Great Patriotic War, the memories of the sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, grandfathers, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, relatives, and friends.

We bow our heads to the memory of the Odesa martyrs who were burned alive in the House of Trade Unions in May 2014, to the memory of the old people, women, and children of Donbas who were killed in atrocious and barbaric shelling by neo-Nazis. We bow our heads to our fighting comrades who died a brave death in the righteous battle – for Russia.

I declare a minute of silence.

(A minute of silence.)

The loss of each officer and soldier is painful for all of us and an irretrievable loss for our families and friends. The government, regional authorities, enterprises, and public organizations will do everything to wrap such families in care and help them. Special support will be given to the children of the killed and wounded comrades-in-arms. The Presidential Executive Order to this effect was signed today.

I wish a speedy recovery to the wounded soldiers and officers, and I thank doctors, paramedics, nurses, and staff of military hospitals for their selfless work. Our deepest gratitude goes to you for saving each life, oftentimes sparing no thought for yourselves under shelling on the frontlines.

Comrades,

Soldiers and officers from many regions of our enormous Motherland, including those who arrived straight from Donbas, from the combat area, are standing now shoulder-to-shoulder here, on Red Square.

We remember how Russia’s enemies tried to use international terrorist gangs against us, how they tried to seed inter-ethnic and religious strife so as to weaken us from within and divide us. They failed completely.

Today, our warriors of different ethnicities are fighting together, shielding each other from bullets and shrapnel like brothers.

This is where the power of Russia lies, the great invincible power of our united multi-ethnic nation.

You are defending today what your fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers fought for. The well-being and security of their Motherland were their top priority in life. Loyalty to our Fatherland is the main value and a reliable foundation of Russia’s independence for us, and their successors, too.

Those who crushed Nazism during the Great Patriotic War showed us an example of heroism for all ages. This is the generation of victors, and we will always look up to them.

Glory to our heroic Armed Forces!

For Russia! For Victory!

Hooray!

Putin argued the Russian sanctions will backfire against the West and the military operation in Ukraine will continue until goals fulfilled

Putin met the press with his Belarusian counterpart, Lukashenko, on a trip to the Vostochny space launch facility in Russia`s the Far East, and Putin said the campaign is going according to plan, adding it is not moving faster because Russia wants to minimize losses.

«The military operation will continue until its full completion and the fulfillment of the tasks that have been set,» Putin said. He also said that the economy had successfully resisted new Western sanctions.

A lot of people have already talked about food shortages, and so do Putin. Food shortages or incredibly high prices on world markets will lead to hunger in regions throughout the world, Putin said. It`s inevitable. The next step would be a new wave of migration, including the Western countries.

Putin charged that Ukraine was turned into an «anti-Russian bridgehead.» He slammed the «fake» allegations of Russian troops responsible for the «Bucha killings.» Russia also claims that the bombing of the theater is «fake.» The nazis are doing it and blame Putin.

We all know what the Western Media has told us about all this. What worries me is that they all think they can judge and condemn someone before they have enough facts. Therefore, we all must cool down and wait for any specific causes of the incident to be verified and established. That being said; Lukashenko said he know what happened. Let`s wait and see.

In other words; any and all accusations should be based on facts before conclusions are drawn.

We all condemn the killings and support the call for an independent investigation. In the meantime, we will wait for the truth and hope those responsible for these war crimes will be punished.

The Russian leader also said that the economy and financial system withstood the impact of what he called the Western sanctions «blitz» and the ruble has recovered its losses.

Putin argued the sanctions will backfire against the West.

Far-left Noam Chomsky praised Donald J. Trump and said he is the only Western statesman who is pushing for a diplomatic solution to the war in Ukraine rather than looking for ways to fuel and prolong it

The war in Ukraine started in 2014 when NATO overthrew the government of Ukraine in a coup. They installed a new government, and Putin and Russia didn`t like that at all. People in Eastern Ukraine didn`t like the new government either.

A new conflict started between the people in Eastern Ukraine and the new government, and they made a peace agreement saying that they should leave them alone, but they didn`t. They killed and tortured 14,000 people in Eastern Ukraine, and that is why Putin invaded Ukraine.

Putin said that 14,000 people is enough. Many of them were from Russia, so Putin wanted to protect the people. It`s also because NATO wants to expand into Ukraine. On top of that, they have a pipeline called Nordstrom 2, so Putin had many reasons to invade Ukraine.

This is what we hear from people who are familiar with this situation in Ukraine. People who speak up, but also journalists who cover this story from the inside. So many are saying that it isn`t Russia that is killing people in Eastern Ukraine. It`s Ukrainian soldiers. They have evidence. They kill and bomb people in Ukraine and blame Putin. The truth will come for a day anyway.

The U.S and NATO provoked this confrontation, and Putin had to stop it. Sending in more weapons and soldiers doesn`t solve the problem. Nor is a nuclear war a solution. That will be the end of human history.

We all learned this from WWI and WWII. War is stupid, and nobody wins a war. We know that. So, the only way is negotiation, and a neutral Ukraine is a solution Putin wants, but not Zelenskyy. Like I have said many times before; this would never have happened under Trump.

Trump didn`t start a single war. He always wanted peace and prosperity. And that`s exactly what he got. He lowered the tax and boosted the economy. Unemployment plunged to a historic low and businesses had a hell of a party. Take a look at the world now. It`s the opposite.

I think it is a big surprise for many in the world to see that far-left radical Noam Chomsky says that Donald Trump is the only Western Statsman who pushed for peace in Ukraine. Chomsky said Trump is the «one western statesman» with a «sensible» plan for resolving the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

Thijmen Sprakel had an interview with Chomsky last week, and Chomsky said that the proposed solution included «facilitating negotiations instead of undermining them and moving toward establishing some kind of accommodation in Europe, in which there are no military alliances but just mutual accommodations.»

Chomsky talked about George H.W Bush (the first Bush, not the second), proposed in the early ’90s, when after the collapse of the Soviet Union, proposed what they called a partnership for peace, which would be open for Europeans generally or Asians as well,» Chomsky continued, going on to stress that in his view, limiting NATO`s expansion and eliminating military alliances in Europe is the key.

I support Chomsky and think he is absolutely right. And I don`t understand what leaders are thinking today, because we know that this is exactly how WWI started. They all expanded and other countries became afraid, and followed up and did the same. They all escalated and it ended in a high degree of tension.

An 18-year-old kid killed Franz Ferdinand of Austria when he visited Sarajevo, and voila, WWI started. One of the deadliest conflicts in history.

We see the same tension today. NATO expand and make other countries afraid, and then they will stand up to this expansion and protected themselves, and the tension is climbing higher and higher.

Noam Chomsky knows this. He is internationally recognized as one of the most important intellectuals alive. His intellectual stature has been compared to that of Galileo, Newton, and Descartes, as his work has had a tremendous influence on a variety of areas of scholarly and scientific inquiry, including linguistics, logic and mathematics, computer science, psychology, media studies, and philosophy, politics, and international affairs.

Chomsky said a move toward negotiations and diplomacy instead of escalating the war is the key. Try to see if you can bring about an accommodation which would be roughly along these lines, Chomsky continued. «His name is Donald J.Trump.»

Russia has said that it would stop its assault if Ukraine declares neutrality, recognizes Crimea as Russian territory, and recognizes the independence of the breakaway Donbas republic of Donestk and Luhansk.

Zelenskyy said a few weeks ago that regarding Crimea and the Donbas, Ukraine is not prepared for Russian «ultimatums» but is ready to discuss the status of the territories. People who elected Zelenskyy are not ready to surrender, and he also said that he had «cooled down» on the idea of Ukraine joining NATO.

EU doesn`t like big tech

European Union doesn`t like big companies like Apple. Google, Facebook, and Amazon to name a few. They believe that companies should be small and compete with each other. The more competition, the better.

Now, Apple faces a possible hefty fine and may have to open its mobile payment system to competitors after EU`s antitrust regulators charged the iPhone maker with restricting rivals’ access to its technology used for mobile wallets.

EU`s Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager, in charge of competition policy, said on Monday: «Mobile payments play a rapidly growing role in our digital economy. It is important for the integration of European Payments markets that consumers benefit from a competitive and innovative payments landscape.»

«We have indications that Apple restricted third-party access to key technology necessary to develop rival mobile wallet solutions on Apple`s devices. In our Statement of Objections, we preliminarily found that Apple may have restricted competition, to benefit from its own solution Apple Pay. If confirmed, such conduct would be illegal under our competition rules.»

The investigation will now follow into suspected violations of EU antitrust rules. The European Commission and Margrethe Vestager think Apple is violating the block`s antitrust rules with its limits on rival providers of mobile wallets.

They believe that Apple «abused its dominant position» in giving a boost to its own contactless payments system.

I can only speak for myself, and I have an iPhone, but I use my Fitbit to pay with my Visa card. It`s easy, fast, and contactless. So, Apple didn`t have an advantage in my world. But the main reason is that Apple only accepts a Mastercard.

This is not the first time the EU is attacking U.S tech giants. A year ago, they attacked Apple`s handling of rival music apps. They also want major changes to the App Store and iMessage, as well as services from Google and Amazon.

Last year, Amazon was hit by the biggest ever European Union privacy fine after its lead privacy watchdog hit it with a $888 million penalty for violating the bloc`s tough data protection rules. Amazon said the decision is «without merit.»

In November last year, Google lost its appeal against a €2,4 billion EU fine over its shopping service. The Commission argued that Google had unfairly used its dominant search engine to redirect traffic to Google shopping.

Brussels claims Google began to systematically favor its shopping service in the results of its popular search engine, whose market dominance exceeds 90% in most EU countries. Google Shopping now routinely appears at the very top of search results.

Six years ago, I wrote an article about The European Commission, that said Irland had enabled Apple to pay «substantially less tax than other businesses over many years.» But the EU`s general court decided that the commission failed to prove that the Irish government had given the U.S tech giant a tax advantage.

In 2020, Apple won a landmark court case against the European Commission over the dispute concerning $14,9 billion in Irish taxes. And these are some of the few attacks on U.S tech giants.

Over twenty years ago, I can remember that Microsoft was attacked by rumors. Don`t use Windows, because it`s a virus in it. That will kill your computer, they said. Bill Gates was also attacked multiple times. Again and again. Today, we see the Marxist Media Mob use words like Oligarchs about the rich.

Sometimes, the EU should attack the rules. Not the companies.

When will Apple fall from the tree?

Apple is another company I have been following for about 30 years now, and this is another one that survived, along with Microsoft, the dot-com bubble. I bought my first mobile phone in 1992, and that was Ericsson from Sweden. I know the rest of that story and know that Apple can go the same way. But not today.

Apple`s revenue in the quarter ended in March, grew nearly 9% YoY, and the company continues to impress. The company said on Thursday that they have strong growth, and that is exactly what I have been wondering about in times of lockdown, covid-19, and distribution challenges that could affect the global demand for smartphones and computers.

The stock went up 4,52% on Thursday, but it went down -by 2,22% in after-hours of trading on Thursday. CFO Luca Maestri warned of several challenges in the current quarter, including supply constraints related to Covid-19 that could hurt sales by between $4 billion and $8 billion. Luca also said that the demand in China was being sapped by the Covid-related lockdown. CEO Tim Cook said that Apple was «not immune» to supply chain challenges.

Apple`s revenue jumped to $97,28 billion YoY. iPhone revenue was up 5,5% and jumped to $50,57 billion. EPS is $1,52.

Apple had a habit of beating Wall Street by 3% to about 8% since 2020, but this time they «only» exceeded the estimates by 0,51%. CEO Tim Cook said the financial performance was «better than we anticipated.»

When will the Apple fall from the tree?
