Human Rights Advocates and the Risks They Face – From Jesus to Modern Times

Throughout history, a clear pattern emerges: those who stand up for justice, freedom, and human dignity often become targets of violence or repression. From religious leaders to political activists, many have paid the ultimate price—or suffered imprisonment—for their message.

Lincoln was shot because he was working on human rights. John F. Kennedy was shot because he was working on human rights. Martin Luther King Jr was shot because he was working on human rights. Olof Palme was shot because he was working on human rights. Lincoln was shot at a theater. So was Olof Palme.

Jesus – The First Great Human Rights Advocate?

Jesus of Nazareth, who lived over 2,000 years ago, can be seen as one of the earliest and most significant champions of human dignity. He taught love, forgiveness, and equality, consistently placing the marginalized and oppressed at the center of his message.

His teachings challenged both religious authorities and the political powers of his time, symbolizing a new understanding of justice and humanity. As a result, he was perceived as a threat—not only to religious leaders but also to the Roman authorities. His fate, crucifixion, demonstrates how power often reacts violently to those who challenge it.

Lincoln, Kennedy, MLK, Gandhi, Palme, Thrane, and Other Advocates

History echoes itself in remarkable ways:

  • Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery in the United States. He was assassinated in 1865 by John Wilkes Booth, who viewed him as a threat to the Southern states.
  • John F. Kennedy, U.S. President and advocate for civil rights, was shot in 1963.
  • Martin Luther King Jr. led the fight for African American rights and was assassinated in 1968.
  • Robert F. Kennedy was killed during the 1968 presidential campaign; he, too, championed equality and justice.
  • Mahatma Gandhi fought for India’s independence and nonviolent resistance, and was assassinated by a Hindu extremist in 1948.
  • Óscar Romero, Archbishop of El Salvador, was murdered in 1980 for defending the poor and oppressed.
  • Olof Palme, Prime Minister of Sweden, was assassinated in 1986 for his outspoken support for human rights, both domestically and internationally. Palme advocated for social welfare, equality, and global justice, and spoke out against oppression worldwide.
  • Marcus Thrane, Norway (1817–1890), was a pioneering labor and social reform leader. He fought for workers’ rights, universal male suffrage, and social equality. Though not assassinated, Thrane was imprisoned for challenging authorities, showing that human rights advocacy often provokes severe repression.

Why These Individuals Were Seen as Threats

Human rights advocates challenge power structures:

  • They question privilege and the status quo.
  • They mobilize people and give a voice to the oppressed.
  • They become symbols—living icons of hope and change.

Extremists or authorities who respond with violence or repression may include:

  • Political extremists who aim to maintain unjust systems.
  • Religious extremists who feel threatened by their beliefs or traditions.
  • Authoritarian regimes are unwilling to tolerate criticism or popular mobilization.

A Timeline of Human Rights Advocates Who Faced Assassination or Repression

A Pattern Through History

From Jesus to MLK, Gandhi, Palme, and Thrane, a consistent thread is evident: those who dare to fight for human rights place themselves at risk. Assassinations and imprisonments of such individuals are not random; they represent a perceived threat to power and control.

Yet, their deaths or repression often amplify their influence rather than end it. They become symbols inspiring millions, showing that the fight for justice continues even after the heroes are gone.

Conclusion

History teaches us that standing up for justice can be dangerous, but also essential. From the crucifixion of Jesus to modern human rights defenders like Olof Palme and reformers like Marcus Thrane, we see how power and oppression react to threats and how individuals can transform the world through courage and conviction.

Ted Gardestad was one of the most beloved artists in Sweden but he committed suicide by jumping in front of a train

Ted Arnbjorn Gardestad was a Swedish singer, songwriter, musician and actor known internationally as Ted. He was a big talent and made music with Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, better known as ABBA. But something strange happened to Ted. He toured extensively until his death by suicide in 1997.He jumped in front of a train. Why?

In 1979, Ted and his brother Kenneth Gardestad played at Melodifestivalen, the competition to select Sweden`s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song «Satellit.» They won the competition which allowed them to represent Sweden at Eurovision held in Jerusalem.

Today, it is the World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD), which is an awareness day observed on 10 September every year, in order to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides, with various activities around the world since 2003.

In 2011 and estimated 40 countries held awareness events to mark the occasion, and on its first event in 2003, the 1999 World Health Organization suicide prevention initiative is mentioned with regards to the main strategy for its implementation, requiring;

  1. «The organization of global, regional and national multi-sectoral activities to increase awareness about suicidal behaviours and how to effectively prevent them.»
  2. «The strengthening of countries` capabilities to develop and evaluate national policies and plans for suicide prevention.»

As of recent WHO releases, challenges represented by social stigma, the taboo to openly discuss suicide, and low availability of data are still to date obstacles leading to poor data quality for both suicide and suicide attempts:

«given the sensitivity of suicide – and the illegality of suicidal behaviour in some countries – it is likely that under-reporting and declassification are greater problems for suicide than for most other causes of death.»

Suicide has a number of complex and interrelated and underlying contribution factors…. that can contribute to the feelings of pain and hopelessness. Having access to means to kill oneself – most typically firearms, medicines and poisons – is also a risk factor.

An estimated one million people per year die by suicide or about one person in 10,000 (1,4% of all deaths), or «a death every 40 seconds or about 3,000 every day.» As of 2004, the number of people who die by suicide is expected to reach 1,5 million per year by 2020.

Last year, artists in Sweden came together and sang Ted Gardestad`s populare songs. It was 20 years since Ted passed away. A man who became a noted star in Sweden in 1975. He was prominently featured in teen magazines.

Teds love life was covered by the national newspapers, he had a fan club, and all of his albums were certificated gold and sold well in the rest of Scandinavia. Aside from Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid (ABBA), he was Polar Musics best selling artist.

In early 1979, Ted and his brother had a fourth attempt at Melodifestivalen and won with the song «Satellit.» After having competed four times in the pre-selection before winning and with his personal connection to ABBA, hopes and expectations were high. The song scored eight points and finished seventeenth out of nineteen participating entries, making it Sweden`s then-second-lowest placing in the contest.

The Swedish-language single became a Top 10 hit back home in Sweden and «Satellit» is regarded as one of Ted`s signature tunes.

People still love Ted and his hit «Satellit.» The second-lowest placing in the European song contest. Ted is still a popular artist and many fans are missing him.

Can you belive that a man like Ted jumped in front of a train?

Something really strange happened to Ted, but what in the world happened? Having left the music-business, Gardeatad made a brief and unsuccessful attempt at acting and shortly thereafter began exploring meditation and Eastern religions.

Ted became involved with the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho) movement and publicly renounced his earlier life. In an interview with Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet in mid-1983, he said he no longer wanted to be addressed as «Ted Gardestad,».

His name was now Swami Sangit Upsani. Like all Bhagwan disciples, he wore clothes in a specific shade of orange. He distanced himself from his friends in the music business and his family as his involvement in the movement gradually took over his life, affecting his personality.

In June 1983, one month before his second child with actress Ann Zacharias was born, he unexpectedly left his evasion, embezzlement of his disciplesfunds and bioterror attach on the citizens of The Dalles and subsequently deported from the US, Teds family persuaded his to move back to Sweden.

His severe mental health problems became increasingly apparent. At that moment, something interesting is happening to Ted Gardestad, and MSM (Mainstream Media) are involved.

Shortly after Ted Gardestad return to Sweden in 1986, the Prime Minister of Sweden, Olof Palme was murdered. This is a story I have written about in my recent articles. This case is, like the John F Kennedy assassination, still open. But here is the key:

Ted Gardestad was wrongly mentioned in the Swedish media as «the 33-year-old,» a suspect in the investigation of the assassination, which severely affected him. But there was one big problem with this theory: Ted Gardestad was on a vacation in Greece at the time of the murder.

The speculations and rumours followed him and his family for the rest of the 1980`s. In other words; it was FAKE NEWS!

But it didn`t stop here. A few years later, he was again the subject of rumours accusing him of being Lasermannen, a bank robber and serial killer. Can you belive that? A man who made music and made people happy was accused of being a bank robber. This is unbelievable.

MSM could have stopped all this FAKE NEWS, but they didn`t, and the rumours affected the sensitive and already unstable former star, and Ted withdrew and fell into a deep depression.

He came back and he toured extensively all through 1994, 1995 and 1996, but on 22 June 1997, at the age of 41, Ted Garedestad committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. The only colleagues from his musical career to attend his funeral were Schaffer, J:son Lindh, Tretow, Barbro Lill-Babssvensson and Agnetha Faltskog (ABBA).

After Ted Gardestads death, his brother Kenneth Garedestad spoke to the press and in a book about Gardestads mental health problems during the last decade of his life. In the biography Jag vill ha en egen mane, published eight years after his brother`s death, Kenneth said Ted had suffered anxiety since his late teens and had become convinced that as an adult Ted has suffered from paranoid schizophrenia, which he thought had been aggravated by his time with the Bhagwan movement, the press coverage and the subsequent public persecution following the murder of Olof Palme and the Laserman case.

In the 2005 biography on Ted, Schaffer said he attended a dinner party in the late 1990s with a large number of Swedish dignitaries, including leading politicians, statesmen, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the chief editor of Swedens largest daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter, who said in front of all the prominent guests;

«You know that it`s your pal Ted Gardestad who murdered Olof Palme, don`t you?

Schaffer immediately left the dinner party. In the biography, Kenneth Gardestad also said Ted`s condition was never properly diagnosed during his lifetime and he did not receive the medical or psychotherapeutic treatment that could have saved his life.

They murdered Ted Gardestad.

The strategy is to drive people crazy and this is the worst form for Gang Stalking, and MSM is the main tool. They could have stopped the rumours but they didn`t. The were driving him crazy. They want Targeted Individuals to belive that everybody are against them. They also set family and friends up against them. They do everything to discredit them.

Research tells us that there exists a sizable community of people around the world who sincerely believe that an organized group, typically comprised of government or law enforcement officials, has banded together to purposely and deliberately cause them physical and psychological harm.

The New York Times conservatively estimates that there are at least 10,000 people active in the gang stalking community, but a review of additional relevant materials suggests that the actual number could be much higher.

In retaliation, for the perception of their being the victims of gang stalking, some individuals have reacted with extreme violence and have committed or have attempted to commit mass murder. Research tells us that Targeted individuals had become convinced that they were targeted individuals and as such the victims of a gang of people, who were systematically attempting to hurt them or kill them.

A YouTube keyword search of the term gang-stalking generates nearly 700,000 hits. They have been informative in understanding the nature of those who are convinced that they are victims of gang-stalking.

For instance, one woman featured in the film wore an aluminium foil hat and lived in a storage unit to protect herself from radio and TV-type waves. It appeared that her belief of being a Targeted Individual caused her significant distress and degraded the quality of her life.

Ted`s brother Kenneth Gardestad said in an interview on a Swedish Television that Ted heard voices in his head. He said it was not voices coming from his own head but from outside his head. This is similar to the man who murdered Anna Lindh.

She was a Swedish Social Democratic politician and chairman of the Social Democratic Youth League from 1984 to 1990 and member of parliament. She died 9/11, 2003 after a knife attach in Stockholm.

She was attached while shopping in a shopping mall in central Stockholm. She was stabbed in the chest, abdomen and arms. Anna Lindh was killed by Mijailo Mijailovic which is born in Sweden to Serb parents.

After a psychiatric evaluation he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Test concluded that he was mentally ill at the time of the murder. Despite Lindh`s popularity and the timing of the assassination, the murder was not considered a political act. He was not interested in politics.

Lindh was an outspoken campaigner for Sweden to join the Euro zone in the referendum held only three days after her death. Despite speculation that sympathy for Lindh could influence the voting, the euro was rejected in the referendum. Sweden didn`t join the European currency.

Mijailovic told the court that when he first saw Lindh, he heard voices that told him to attach her. «I could not withstand the voice. It said: «Attack, attach, attach,» he said. He said the attach «lasted only a few seconds.»

Mijailovic heard voices in his head. Just like Ted Gardestad. Both from Sweden. It is well documented that the military and the federal government have been dabbling in mind control and manipulation experimentation for decades.

The problem is that these innovations are used to study and affect human cognitive behavior and expose them to various types of torture-like treatments. Many subjects have most likely already died, committed suicide or had insane outbursts during more than 40 years of research on the interaction between humans and machines.

Thousands of people around the world are stating that these methods actually have been used and totally ruined their lives!

Magnus Olsson is one of the victims. He said; Very few people are aware of the actual link between neuroscience, cybernetics, artificial intelligence, neuro-chips, transhumanism, the science cyborg, robotics, somatic surveillance, behavioral control, the thought police and human enhancement. They all co hand in hand, he said.

Magnus Olsson was a successful businessman, but these nano-implant technology has destroyed every aspect of his life, while those who are responsible are hiding behind psychiatric diagnoses.

Sweden has a leading role in the development of this new technology, which also has a military dimension. NSA, Great Britain and 17 Norwegian heart specialists are working with this case. CIA begun the research as early as the 1950s, and DARPA is Pentagons research arm of the military.

Neuroscientist Martin Ingvar from Sweden referred to the human body as a «bad frame for the brain.» Martin Ingvars point of view is in line with Josè Delgados some 60 years ago, and its buried history of mind control:

we dont really have any choice, were not really having a free will of for that matter any consistent personality. This would be enough reason to change humans to whatever someone else wishes. For example, an elite.

Implantable microchips that can «talk» directly to the brain would give a tyrannical government the ultimate form of control. This kind of technology has the potential to be one of the greatest threats to liberty and freedom in the history of mankind.

This is not Science-fiction. This is real-life Matrix.

The Russia hoax, liars, leakers and liberals are all about corruption at the highest level

The Dems still cannot belive that Trump won the election in 2016. They still blame on Putin and Russia, but President Trump won despite the fact that nearly everybody in MSM tried to destroy him. Not only that, the FBI and the Deep State tried to steal the election. It is corruption at the highest level.

Analyst Gregg Jarret reveals the real story behind Hillary Clinton’s deep state collaborators in government in his book The Russia Hoax. The illicit scheme to clear Clinton and frame Donald Trump. His book is now a New York Times best seller.

Judge Jeanine Pirro is also out with a book called Liars, Leakers and Liberals. The case against the Anti Trump conspiracy. Another New York Times bestseller. This is the story the Fake News media doesn’t want you to hear. A withering indictment of the Deep State plot against Trump and a firsthand account to the real presidency.

At this point in American history, people are the victims of a liberal sabotage of the presidency unlike anything we’ve ever witnessed. Nevertheless President Trump continues to fight every day to keep his promise to Make America Great Again.

This is bad, and much deeper than everyone thought. Mueller’s team is about corrupting justice. This is a story about people who think they have more power than anyone else, and they belive that the law doesn’t matter. Thats what Mueller’s team is about.

Pirros book uncovers the elements of this conspiracy, including fake news propaganda, law enforcement corruption at the highest level, national security leaks by the intelligence community, bureaucratic resistance to lawful and constitutional executive orders issued by the duly elected president and crooked deals with foreign governments by U.S officials sworn to defend the U.S constitution.

A nation cannot survive treason from within, but this is not unique to the U.S. We all know the story behind John F Kennedy. People doesnt belive in the Warren commission story. They blame on the police force in Texas, and the Deep State in the U.S.

Right after Trumps inauguration, he said Look to Sweden, and he is right. Sweden is burning. A country that have a similar story. Prime Minister Olof Palme was killed, but people doesnt belive in the story in a case that still is open. People is Sweden blame on the Police force. Just like the U.S.

Swedish author Jan Guillou write about a similar story in his book The Enemy within. A novel about Ewa Tanguy. She transferred early in the novel from the fraud squad of the Swedish police to Sapo, the National Security Police, a branch which she herself distinguishes on several occasions from the real police.

Ewa have colleagues whose methods are not simply questionable but even illegal. More worrying to Ewa, and presumably the author, is the extent to which the not so good cops can behave badly with the sanctions of the law.

The author has his own reason for a grudge against Sapo. In 1973 he and fellow journalist Peter Bratt revealed the existence of a government agency which secretly gathered information on Swedish citizens at home and abroad, using illegal surveillance. The revelation caused a scandal in Sweden.

While the work is one of fiction, its firm basis in reality is clear to any reader whose country has introduced such laws to further the so-called war on terrorism. A press review quoted in the book itself describes the text as not a fiction but more of a warning cry. A view clearly supported by the interview with the author that follows the body of the text.

Contrary to the conventional police drama, this novel raises more questions than it answers, not only about the guilt or otherwise of those eventually convicted, but also about the rights of such suspects both before and after arrest, about laws designed to target particular groups in a community, and about the destruction of aspects of democracy by the very processes that are supposed to protect it.

Swedish prime minister Olof Palme was a Democratic socialist and talked about immigration in 1965

Swedish prime minister Olof Palme was murdered on February 28, 1986. A few years earlier, on December 25, 1965, he gave a national radio speech on the subject of immigration. His words are more relevant today than ever before.

Olof Palme said: We respect the fundamental rights and freedoms. Turbid racial theories have never gained foothold. Prejudice is always rooted in everyday life. It grows in the workplace and in the neighbourhood.

It gives went to ones own failures and disappointments. Above all, it is an expression of ignorance and fear. Ignorance regarding other people`s uniqueness. Fear of losing a position, a social privilege, a prior right.

Of course, skin colour, race, language and birthplace have nothing to do with human qualities. To grade people using such a yardstick is in glaring conflict with principles of human equality. But it is shamefully simple to make use of for the one who feels inferior.

Olof Palme was a Democratic socialist with pride and joy. He became one when he traveled around India and saw the terrible poverty, even though some were tremendously rich. At the same time, he also saw an even more degrading poverty in the U.S.

When he, as a young boy, stood eye to eye with communism`s lack of freedom and oppression and human persecution in the communist states, and when he went to the Nazi`s concentration camps and saw the death records of social democrats and union members, he became a Democratic socialist.

He said in a speech that he was strengthened in his conviction when he saw the right-wing politics, in country after country, expel people to unemployment and ruin their sense of security. Our solidarity becomes weaker and egoism stronger. It is about solidarity and consideration among people, he said.

May Olof Palme rest in peace, but his message live on…….
