President Donald Trump on Wednesday evening announced 26 new pardons, including Roger Stone and Paul Manafort, who is a former campaign chairman. White House senior adviser Charles Kushner, who is Jared Kushner`s father is also pardoned on Wednesday.
Manafort and Stone were indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller. They both went to trial and were convicted by juries of multiple crimes. Stone lied to Congress to protect the President. CNN and FBI went to Stone`s house with armed forces to get him, but now he is pardoned by Trump.
All presidents issue controversial pardons at the end of their terms, but Trump appears to be moving at a faster pace than his predecessors.
