Andy Murray wins over Thanasi Kokkinakis in one of the latest finishes in tennis history

Wow. This is one of the funniest moments in my tennis history. So funny, it`s better than Mr. Bean, or sometimes a great stand-up show. Sometimes, I feel it could be ranked as one of the funniest home videos. What a game.

Sir Andrew Barron Murray from Scotland, who was ranked world no.1 for 41 weeks, and finished as the year-end No.1 in 2016, won a big fight against Thanasi Kokkinakis in an epic Australian Open match finishing at 04:05 local time.

It is one of the latest finishes in tennis history. Murray won 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 7-5, and the second round match started at 22:20 and lasted five hours and 45 minutes. The crowd was screaming and stayed inside Margaret Court Arena until the end.

The match is the second late finish in Australian Open history after a 2008 third-round match that ended at 04:34am.

the late finish brought more questions about why tennis allows this to happen and led to more scrutiny of the scheduling. During the match, Murray screamed his frustration after losing a point and asked why they were «still playing at 3am».

People stayed until the end of the match and created an atmosphere. The battle between Murray and Kokkinakis ended at 04:05am local time. Thanks for the great entertainment!
